New Body Designs

The Arcimoto vehicle is really coming along. The mechanical and electrical designs are nearing completion and the body is being refined. If you have seen our initial concept designs you will notice that vehicle has changed somewhat. We have added some great safety feature and the whole look of the vehicle has become, how do you say... awesome!

We have a new emblem!
After much work and revisions we have decided on the prefect Arcimoto logo/emblem. The “A” stands for Arcimoto and the wings curved slightly upwards stands for movement, freedom, and fun. The shapes are slightly curved to emphasize the fun, friendly, accessible nature of our products. The wings are blue to symbolize the sky, clean air and water. The white outline of the wings represent feathers, making the wings appear lightweight and streamlined.

Vehicle Emissions Comparison
Electric vehicles are much more efficient than internal combustion vehicles, therefore they need less power to operate. While an EV has no emissions coming from the vehicle, the electrical power plants used to charge the batteries do produce emissions except where wind, solar and hydroelectric generation is concerned.

Eugene Celebration

It has been a few years since I've attended the Eugene Celebration. I have lived in Eugene long enough to remember when it was a free event, and being able to see cool bands like the Cherry Poppin' Daddies play was a highlight for a number of years for me. I started getting a little sore about the whole thing when they began to charge me just to walk through downtown. For me the weekend was about building and sharing community and not about advertising and profit. I have since grown up a little about the whole thing and now realize it takes a lot of effort and coordination to make something like this happen. I am such a big fan of these types of events. I love seeing people out of their homes, out of their cars, and interacting with other members of our Emerald City. Bumping elbows is a lot easier to manage than bumping automobiles. I wish we could do this kind of thing more than just a few times a year.
This year I was able to see a little different side of the Celebration and for me marked my first year "behind the scenes." We had a booth for the weekend and were also a part of the parade on Saturday. For our part of the parade we had Emma and Emily leading the way as the electrical faeries, Joe our intrepid explorer braving the unknown of the electric vehicle landscape, and myself trudging along behind as the gas zombie, gasping for life and looking for something more to consume. We were warmly welcomed by all parade spectators and I think everyone got a kick out of the gas can chained to my leg.
Our booth was positioned next to 8th Street on Sustainability Row, right near the fountain and in a perfect location to view both the Celebration Parade on Saturday and the Pet Parade on Sunday. Located next to LTD, Sequential Biofuels, NextStep Recycling and other wonderfully green businesses working together to help out the environment, it was easy to see how much enthusiasm Eugenians have for taking responsibility for the health of their community. I was constantly reminded of how important my job is, how we really need local business that is environmentally sensitive. Thank you to all the folks that stop to chat with us and voice questions and concerns, fill out an electric vehicle survey, or just pause for a moment to consider how their life might be different with a vehicle like ours. We are doing our best to consider all ideas and everyones feedback is very much appreciated.
